This is mainly directed at the Milton Keynes branch, but to be honest I would try to avoid the franchise as a whole.

While my experience was not completely negative I'll try and sum it up in a few points:

Pro's:
<ul>[*]Not strict office hours, arranged a call back at 8pm once and an early test drive on a weekend.[*]When driving the car, I was advised to keep on pushing so I got to feel the car at its limits[*]Very quick turnaround when ordering a car[*]Happy to negotiate
Cons:
<ul>[*]VERY pushy sales ("do a deal today/limited time offer/ask the manager")[*]Misleading quotes, adding an extra month onto a PCP deal as standard to make the quote look cheaper[*]Tries to charge for extras which are included (car mats for example)[*]Gets very upset/angry when you try to point out their mistakes (went through 3 salesmen who thought they knew best)[*]If there's an issue with your order, suddenly the pleasantries go out the window and you're back to office hours by appointment.[*]Does not take criticism well, unwilling to accept they can't make every customer happy.[*]Relies heavily on aftersales, pushy with supagard/GAP/SMART/Service plans and openly slates any competition saying they can't be compared for quality and value.
With the Bedford branch after the dull test drive (not able to push the car much due to some of the roads) They were not willing to sit down and talk numbers as I said I wanted a good price and they wouldn't even knock 1.5k off the car, so I walked. I had a followup call 2 weeks later and when the salesperson heard I'd ordered from a different branch he too was very angry stating wasted time and dealer costs and they would have matched any offer etc... I did try to explain that if he wasn't happy taking 1.5k off the car after driving it he certainly wouldn't match the quote I had from a different dealer.

If you're OK going to try the car and buy on the spot with no more than 5% discount on the price you'll probably have a better experience than I had, but when asking for a test drive with an aim to purchase a couple of months later, their overpowering need to secure a sale no matter what cost is very frustrating when you show the dealer that you're in no position to sign at that point unless there's a hefty discount. I pointed out to each dealer before discussing anything that I was looking to buy in September.

I had a very different experience at Steven Eagell in Luton.Yes they tried to sell the usual extras - supagaurd - GAP etc. but I wouldn't say they where pushy.
Jamie the Sales man presented the facts and allowed me to make an informed decision. Initially I took the GAP but cancelled within a day or so after taking advice on here.
They did make a mistake with regards to the spec confusing the leather seats with the standard fabric on realising the mistake I was given the option of having the leather at cost or reverting to fabric.
I was offered a sensible price for my Golf TDi straight off the bat. All in all I was very pleasantly surprised by the whole experience especially the manor and approach adopted by Jamie.

In the first week of having the car some muppet managed to swipe my rear bumper leaving a scuff and nasty gash! (this was in March) Today I took the car back to Jamie who arranged to have the damage repaired by their body work specialist. Excellent job. No charge!!
I guess its horses for courses but I would have no hesitation in recomending Jamie at Steven Eagell Toyota in Luton as thoroughly reputable sales professional.

Your Pros and Cons were spot on for the aylesbury branch also. I found them very pushy and feel they didn't really understand the car. The supraguard, gap insurance and service plan was continuously pushed. But over all I wanted the car and got it to the spec I wanted, although I'm tempted to get parking sensors.

I bought my car from Steven Eagell Bedford. I was happy with the sales side of things, but then again I ordered mine 10 months before it was released! But after sales, though were very nice and well mannered, did not take much care.

They offered free supagard. After it was done I noticed some paint chips so they agreed to get it fixed, however no colour codes so they couldnt get a paint match. I have tried email James Osbourne twice abotu it. The first time hes was gonig to get back to me in a week. Nothing. Emailed again nothing. I've given up that this point. I dotn feel I shoudl have to keep calling because of no reply to emails. Certainly not getting it serviced there.

The car came with one red and one black door handle. When I took it back to them to have the correct handle fitting, the door sil was filthy where the tech had been sitting on it. Also trhe new handle was covered in grease.

I bought my car from the St. Albans branch. The salesman was polite and helpful. Whilst all the options were offered to me, they weren't pushed. After having a test drive, I made it clear I wasn't going to buy the car that day, although they did there best to try and persuade me. The sticking point was my MK1 MR2, which obviously they weren't keen on trading in!!! I sold this privately without a problem.

After my initial contact I did some research online and found I could get £2650 discount off the basic model. I decided to go down that route, but out of politeness called back into the dealer, to explain I was going to buy the car online. At this point, they made a few phone calls, and a few minutes later decided to match the online quote I had as long as I bought the car immediately. Obviously I accepted. This was over £1000 better discount than their original offer.

Mine was from Steven Eagall St Albans and wouldn't recommend anyone touches them with a barge pole.

Awful experience all-round. I won't go into specifics, but happy to answer questions via PM.

Shame, as I know two people that were looking for a Yaris (one new and the other used) and I pointed them to other retailers.

I found quite the opposite of some of your experiences. I dealt with Steven Eagell Toyota in Milton Keynes and have found the whole experience extremely efficient and personal. <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" /><?: prefix = u5 /><u5:p></u5:p>
I collected my GT86 on the 1st of September this year after ordering it at the beginning of August.<u5:p></u5:p>
I test drove the vehicle a week before I ordered the vehicle and fell in love! My salesman was extremely patient and I didn’t feel pushed into a quick deal.<u5:p></u5:p>
The prospect of going into a dealership as a female on my own was daunting but going into the dealership was quite the opposite. I was treated with respect and everything was explained to me from start to finish, nothing was too much trouble.<u5:p></u5:p>
I had been shopping around and I found the interest rate very competitive for the PCP.<u5:p></u5:p>
As I had ordered my car a month before delivery I was kept up to date by my salesman right up until point of collection.<u5:p></u5:p>
A fantastic car (the novelty still hasn’t worn off) and fantastic service.<u5:p></u5:p>
I would thoroughly recommend the car and the dealership.<u5:p></u5:p><u5:p></u5:p>

Your story has touched our hearts.

At least have the smarts to not use the Toyota internet access when posting fake reviews.

Anyone been on Tripadvisor recently? It's full of either amazing reviews - like this - obviously written by the restaurant/hotel or the opposite, clearly written by their competitors! Have to say - Steven Eagell - what a cracker of an own goalyou have scored here. If anyone on this Owners Club ever uses (or recommends)you again I'd be very surprised!

This also goes to show that Toyota/Dealers (and Subaru) are very much monitoring the owners clubs posts. I'd be very carefull what is posted about modifications, tracking your car etc if you expect to be able to claim under warranty in the future.

Disgraceful and unprofessional behaviour.

I think this dealer should be banned from posting again on this website.

Shame on you.

Don't ban them, would be interesting to hear what sorry excuses they have trying to mislead customers, poor sales service and terrible after care they have.

I will be seeking another dealer network for future warranty work and servicing because that evidence has finally publicly justified why I was unhappy with your service in the first place. Lies and deceit.
