They tested a baffle design here but with no improvement, and the next step is testing other traditional baffle approaches, as well as testing overfills.
Here is a description of a working fix with an additional upper sump baffle. Serious downside is that it requires taking apart the engine once a year. I don't know enough about engines to understand where that upper sump is but I'm guessing that upper sump baffle is the important one.
That looks very similar to the Cusco baffle I have on my GT86. I can't say I'd be that keen on replacing it every year. I sure hope those rubber flaps don't actually fall off!
This is hard I haven't understood the layout of the engine well enough. I understood it as saying the FA24 can have two baffles at two levels, and the upper level is hard to replace.
Do you mean the FA20 does not have these 2 levels?
