Hi all............ look what I've just received.
Sent off an email to a request on What Car magazine website last week.
Dear*****
I’m delighted to tell you that we’ve reserved you a place for the Toyota GT-86 test drive on Saturday 2nd June. This is the first time we’ve taken readers abroad to drive the cars we get in for test on real roads, so it’s a fantastic opportunity.
We’ll start the experience early morning on Saturday 2nd June at Folkestone, where you’ll be met by a Toyota rep and driven over to Calais on the Eurotunnel in a Land Cruiser. Once we’ve reached our destination there’ll be a briefing followed by a whole day of driving, interspersed with interviews and photographs, and of course lunch. We’ll also take video footage of your drive before delivering you back safely to Folkestone on Saturday evening.
Please note, you’ll need to arrange transport to and from the Eurotunnel terminal and, if you’re travelling a long way down the country, may need overnight accommodation. Unfortunately we won’t be able to cover your expenses. But we do promise to lay on a day to remember.
I’ll be able to confirm exact timings and the day’s schedule next week, but in the meantime, please can you reply to this email to confirm that you’re still able to attend. As you can imagine, we’ve been inundated with applications for the event so we can’t afford any no-shows on the day!
In your reply, please can you include:
</font><ul>[*]Scans of all parts of your driving licence (front and back of the paper counterpart, and the front of your photo ID card, if your licence comes with one. </font>[*]Your name, date of birth, nationality and passport number as they appear on your passport (a scan of your personal information page would be helpful but not vital) </font>[*]Your full postal address. </font>[*]The details of the person you’ll nominate as your emergency contact.
</font>[/list]
We’ll publish your review of the car online an What Car? magazine
Once I have your confirmation, I’ll send over a full itinerary next week.
Best wishes
Emma
