At least it is removable and I never listen to the radio so I'll probably never have it fitted on the car, it can sit in the glove box.

I think you're on to something there Angel C. Aerial off and in the glove box or at least anywhere but atop the car, who needs the radio when you have a 'sound generator' or whatever they're calling it.
As for angles I'm not fussy, I'll mostly be seeing it from the inside anyway

I've seen those ugly shark-fin things for sale somewhere. Can't remember where though. Might have been the guy on eBay selling stuff for incredible amounts of cash.

I much prefer the version in the rear window like my Sierra Sapphire 2.0i Ghia had. Keeps the CD value low.
