Toyota has confirmed prices and specs for its new GT 86. Thecoupéis due for a July 1 launch in the UK, with order books open now.
Power comes from a 2-litre four-cylinder boxer engine, its 197bhp being sent to the rear wheels. A dual tailpipe exhaust system is fitted, and the switchable VSC stability control offers three driving modes according to preference.
The GT 86 will come in a single equipment grade with multiple options, with the six-speed manual starting at £24,995 and the paddleshift six-speed auto at £26,495. Climate control, sports seats, bi-xenon headlamps and 17in alloys are standard, as well as a limited-slip differential at rear axle. The car is available in seven colours on the outside, and black cloth upholstery is standard on the inside. Black leather with Alcantara is a cost option.
