Just thought a nice post to say farewell to a wonderful man who made such a difference in Formula 1 as he died age 84

what a real difference he made with such stars as Senna...Prost...Mansel...etc

It was only just reading your post here that informed me he had passed on






















Such an influential guy in F1 safety and so well respected by all the drivers. I have no doubt he will be greatly missed by many.

Read his book. At the scene of Ratzenbergers accident at Imola on 30/4/94 he tried to get Senna to retire there and then. Senna said he couldn't and the rest his history.
Watkins said in an interview two years ago that he regretted not leaning on Senna more that afternoon to retire.

A humble man who will be a big loss to f1.
