I'm afraid it might just be you. The metallic orange is far from brown when you see it in the flesh.

More like a bronze than a brown. Noticed in France that the orange is called 'Metallic Tangerine'. In Germany 'Inferno Orange Metallic' and the Italians can't buy it in red (Ferrari putting it's oar in maybe?).

More of a political and economic thing. Any mention of going into the red is frowned on

I actually think it looks better in the dull conditions, but then I am partial to a brown in the right shade. I have wondered what the '86 would look like in Audi's Ipanema Braun. Maybe I'm crazy...
