Had to use the horn this morning. Was embarrassing, how pathetic is it??????
Must be an upgrade or alternative out there?

I'd want something a bit more original than halfords.
A guy cut me up at a roundabout this morning just as I was about to plan an oversteer moment, he got a good 5 sec blast of my horn. I was shouting "You f**king idiot........(hit horn) oh my god that sounds awful"

I think it's a Subaru thing, the one on my old classic Impreza sounded like something Noddy would have.

I replaced it with a twin-tone Hella item.

No it doesn't - the single unit of the S2000 was a really weedy 'meep'. That immediately got replaced by twin Fiamm air horns! The 86's are quite reasonable, for stock units.


Looks like you've got 7.5A per horn to play with! Go find some loud snails...

I tried it on the GT86 test drive. It's 10x better than the Noddy horn in my Civic Type R - which just makes me laugh whenever I use it.

You should try the horn on an old Fiesta, it's about as imposing as a fly farting.

I see the tradition of road rage has moved into GT86 drivers now.
