When I sync up my mobile with the GT (HTC) I have some entries that have a name only (greyed out) and no number and some have a number. They are identical in the mobi fone book! Anyone know why some entries work and not others?

Thery are all on Google Contacts, so presume they are sync'd to the phone

Are you sure they have numbers attached? The greyed out contacts on mine are email address only which is annoying, but understandable(ish).

I cant find any difference between the ones without tele info and those with. They all have numbers associated and I have changed some of them so the ones that are working exactly match those that dont and after I reload the address book, they still dont work. I will try some more changes & see if I can track it down.

I have a samsung S3 and the phone book does not pick up any contacts sicne a map update!! Before the map update it showed number with no name.... any suggestions?

Fixed. Unpaired device at both ends and repaired. Phonebook must have got confuzzled
