Puddle Lamps now fitted.

I bought some puddle lamps from eBay a year ago but was reluctant to fit them after hearing bad things about them but at the weekend i decided to fit them and they were a no fuss direct replacement fit of the red ones in the door cards. They project a nice crisp GT86 logo and i will be glad to show photos if anyone is interested.

2015 GT86 Auto, Valenti Tail Lights. Fensport Rear Splitter.

I had the same concerns, and bought mine through Amazon for £15, thinking if I did not fit them then not much money wasted. Had some advice from Browni on here regarding fitting. They looked well made and were very easy to fit, so very pleased. Your thread so you can post the pics up.

Black GT86 modified with Cosworth exhaust, brakes, supercharger and map, Eibach Pro springs, OZ alloys, fast road geo, various cosmetics inc TRD spoiler and Valenti rear lights.

So are you now showing a white light to the rear? Is that legal?

Was not picked up as an issue at MOT time for me.

They point down to the floor at a slight angle so no white light to the rear.

Their focus may well be on the floor, but the thing I like about the OEM doorlights is that they do alert passing traffic to the fact that the door is open. So unless the replacements are shrouded in some way, they will be visible to the rear.

But I agree, given that the Police are apparently too busy to do anything these days, you're unlikely to be nicked.

IMO, it's people using metal screwdrivers or metal trim tools and accidentally shorting things out. I've replaced every bulb in the car with an LED equivalent and had no problem at all.
