Traction Ctrl Button(s?)

Hi all,

I am looking at purchasing a '13 GT86 but as I am not familiar with the car I'd like to ask a specific question of you guys...

In all the pictures I've seen of cars, of various years, there are 2 'traction control' buttons in from of the stick. One with a car icon and 'off' underneath (left side) and another that says 'VSC Sport'.

A specific car I am looking at (2013) appears to only have the left-hand button, however. There's only 1 pic but I don't see the writing for the other button.

Were there cars sold that didn't have the second button, and if so what difference does it make?

Thanks.

Have you got a picture?
I've not seen any like that.

Mine has three...

Haha, loving that third button! I've asked the seller for a bit more info, but this is the only pic thus far:

Manuals have 2 buttons or an extra one in the space for automatic cars. There will be none that only have one. It could be that the print has worn off....

Thank you. It could just be that the exposure on that part of the photo is too much to show any print, but it does look odd.

If the print has worn off it could be a sign of some heavy use!

I think it must be the lighting in the picture.

Heavy cleaning maybe People sometimes decide that when lettering starts to show some wear they rather remove it completely. I really wouldn't worry about that part. Maintenance record and signs of mechanical would be far more important.

Those buttons are illuminated though. The lettering is a transparency on the plastic, not printed-on lettering, so it can't wear off.

The only thing that would wear off is the silver paint/finish itself, which would be a pretty impressive thing to do! It just looks like the sun is glaring off of it on the picture.

JESS! What were you thinking, man?

Thanks guys. I had it confirmed that yes, the button is indeed there - it must be the lighting in the photo!
