Uprated Clutch (and potentially flywheel)

Evening ladies and gents,

I'm in need of an uprated clutch.
The OEM clutch can't keep up with the supercharger at 270lb ft ish of torque.

I do do the occasional trackday and I try to make a few pilgrimages to the Nurburgring annually when time off work allows.

Whilst the clutch is out, I'm tempted to throw a lightweight flywheel into the mix.

I've heard mixed reviews of almost every clutch/flywheel I've Googled. Who's running what? What would you guys recommend?

Thank you

I am using the TRD Clutch Disc (Metal Facing), Clutch Cover and Light Weight Flywheel. They are the closest you can get on OEM level quality and testing.

Great advice. Thanks for the fantastic contribution.

I'm sure shifting whilst accelerating in 3rd will really stop the clutch from slipping.

Well there was a point there you know: that you can adapt your shifting style and save the clutch. Many people are too early on the throttle when things are going faster. The bigger issue was : should you fix everything by adapting to it.

Great point. I'll just upshift before I hit 2000rpm

Looks like there is limited experience of it around. Worth calling Abbey, TD and Fensport for advise and taking it from there.

Got in touch with Fensport earlier, 1 X Xtreme clutch is inbound. Cheers mate

For anyone else interested, they've been running one on their turbod GT86 for a few years now, as well as several of their customers. They're confident it'll handle the load.

In terms of the flywheel, they couldn't guarantee I wouldn't get rattle with a lighter flywheel and it's something I want to avoid

There is a lot of choice out there. 1AX I assume?

1A seems the softest and most road biased while yours is probably the most track biased of this lot, I guess.
