I've changed my interior trim to black, so I've done the rev counter ring to match.
Going to do the speaker rings in the doors tomorrow.
Then maybe look at the silver climate buttons.

Got booked up for a date with the garage to get a new Sump fitted. Wallet will be 700 quid lighter, provided no other issues are identified. Fun!

JESS! What were you thinking, man?

Good luck with it. Which sump are you planning to go with? I have seen some Aluminium ones which will solve your rust issue once and for all. Also I believe the Sump is stuck with RTV sealant. So you might need to leave the car overnight for the thing to dry/ cure.

Thanks BRZ. I'll need the luck!

Just going with an OEM replacement (exciting, I know!). There was a suspected Rear Main Seal leak when this corroded sump was initially discovered. They are going to do the best they can to visually check this without pulling the engine at this stage. The oil could very well be coming from the corroded sump afterall.

Interestingly they say it will take 5 hours. RTV has always been a concern for me, but I've just assumed they must use some fast-setting RTV? I'm going to query it when I drop it off. They did say there may be a chance that they will have to keep the car overnight, but this was more to do with staffing issues given the current situation. They've given me a courtesy car, and did say I can have it for the two days if need be.

RTV should be left overnight to seal, always should be the rule of thumb

Hi James

Guess that is a Pete Thompson badge? Gonna be fiddly to clean. Mine is bad enough! They are stunning quality though, so enjoy!!
