Gave the engine bay a quick clean out. Oh boy, was there a lot of dust in there because of the dry weather we've had the past few weeks.

JESS! What were you thinking, man?

Not that simple to keep it sticking to the road isn't it When you don't drive it much it renews your awareness of how the car handles, and how much you have adapted to it.

Drove to the shops as the other half's Celica had a dead battery. Got back and lined up my three vehicles, sadly no prizes for guessing which one is getting the most use at the moment!

Central seating position, larger rear tyres, just a few cm ground clearance, no roof. That is one sporty beast.

Having wrapped and fitted my new UEL manifold last weekend, I went over it again as there was a slight rattle at around 3k.

I think it was something of nothing, as when I originally test drove it, I didn't reinstall the under trays, just incase I needed to do any extra work.
Everything seems spot on and it was nice to actually get the car out on the road, even if it was just to do some grocery shopping. The 86 is truly fun and practical.

In terms of the install... it was pretty simple bar getting the over pipe, which northing short of brutal! I ended up unbolting the 2nd cat and raising the engine up around 2-3 inch to get the required clearance.

I'm still getting used to the sound and was quite surprised how, "sensible" it sounded from the drivers seat. Outside of the car however, it sounds brilliant! There's a lovely rumble and a bit of a rasp.

Very happy with the results so far, just need to get it booked in for a tune, as soon as it's safe to do so.

A dang bird bombed the roof yesterday. It wasn't even on the roof that long and it already etched a pattern into the paint. Flying rats. Doesn't bother me too much though as it's not noticeable, and I plan on getting the roof wrapped this year at some point.

It's weird but some of this stuff wipes straight off while other burns through the roof, the seats and the bottom ,only to stop somewhere inside the top layer of the road. I think some of these birds were accidentally released by some secret weaponization lab.
