Must remember to avoid Thurso

Thank you for taking the time to read through it! You have to drive it by car (and by car, the 86!) some time, and Achmelvic Beach is just simply jaw dropping! Heart

I did a drive round Loch Ness this afternoon, bright sunshine, 20 degrees and dry roads. One of the best drives I've done, I definitely need to do the proper north coast now! And don't worry, I always carry some with me LOL

I'm told Aviemore is beautiful as well, man you're lucky with your locality! That drive around Loch Ness is utterly amazing, who would have thought there would be roads like that around the Loch!

What I didn't write in the blog was that night at Loch Ness when we decided it became a racetrack was that they were still laying the tarmac! The 4 of us sat at a stop sign for 45 minutes before they got a van to 'escort' us over the freshly laid road. That, or they didn't like our lack of patience and our automotive engine noted symphony...

That drive is definitely one where you need the GoPro stuck on!!

The insect spray I had did NOTHING! I'm half tempted to go back to Wilko and demand my money back LOLLOLLOL

Thank you Alex! I ought to write these trips up soon after the event as opposed to leaving it for a couple of weeks! But even I get to capture some of the memories when I read it back, so it's almost a diary of events :)

Yeah it is! I have an amazing view of the Cairngorm mountain range from my garden as well! Only here for a year though which is disappointing...

All the tarmac has been laid and the roadworks finished (except right at the bottom in Fort Augustus) and it was brilliant! Genuinely the best drive I've done so far. I'm glad they properly resurfaced most of it instead of the "surface dressing" crap that's pretty much everywhere else.

And awesome picture on the Toyota Tuesday thing as well, congrats! Smile

That is amazing, I'm jealous!! How come you're only there for a year?

Oh are they still fixing up that area? Once we came down from the newly laid tarmac we stopped for ages as they were laying the road - that might have been just before Fort Augustus! I dream of going back there again to drive the roads!

And thank you! I didn't realise until I opened up Facebook and saw it. Just wished my car was clean in that photo!
